BlackLight (@BlackLight_ATX) – “Colder” (Video)

Earlier this week BlackLight released the official music video to the first single, “Colder.” The music video, shot on the East side of Austin, TX, is a tribute to the people being gentrified out of the area. “I think it’s a fitting song for what the East side is going through,” says the Austin emcee. “It’s an expression of frustration, not just with gentrification, but with all of the struggles of just trying to live life.”

The music video is the first of many to come as BlackLight amps up for the release of his debut album, Legacy, in early 2018. The project is promised to deliver on multiple levels. “It’s definitely gonna be more conscious, but I’m having some fun with it, too,” he says. “My main goal is to leave future generations empowered by my music.”

The Loft Club - Flicker feat. Lisa Loeb - Sleeve (600x600)

British indie band The Loft Club, have released their new single “Flicker,” featuring a guest appearance from Grammy-nominated recording artist Lisa Loeb.

“Flicker, a double A-side, available through Lightyear/Caroline, comes bundled with an original version of the track. The melodic and ardent ballad, showcases lead singer Daniel Schamroth and Lisa Loeb’s vocal talents, perfectly blended in a seamless and fluid manner; heartfelt with soaring melodies, alongside harmonious arrangements of guitar, bass and drums.

The Loft Club, an Exeter-based, Sixties-tinged band, consisting of Daniel Schamroth, Jamie Whyte, Kieran Chalmers, Amy O’Loughlin and Dan Wright, drafted in US singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb to collaborate on the official single edit of “Flicker,” a brand new version of the track that was originally released on the band’s debut EP entitled Heart’s Desire, last autumn.

Lisa Loeb started her career with the platinum-selling hit single “Stay (I Missed You)”, it spent 3 weeks at Number 1 on the US Billboard charts in 1994. The song was also a Top-10 hit in the UK, where it spent 15 weeks in the UK Singles chart. Loeb is the first and only artist in history, to top the American charts before signing to a label. Ironically, “Flicker” was released (August 25th), exactly 23 years to the day, that “Stay (I Missed You)” was spending it’s third week at Number 1 on Billboard.

“Flicker,” produced by Jolyon Holroyd, was mixed and mastered at Magic Garden Studios by Gavin Monaghan, whose credits include Editors, Ryan Adams, and Paolo Nutini.

Strych9 Musik (@strych9musik) – Overdose

Music producer and songwriter Strych9 Musik is set to release “Overdose”, an R&B compilation album, solely produced by him, on all digital platforms on Sept 5th, 2017.

“Overdose” features tantalizing melodies and passionately conveyed lyricism from great artists such as Ashten Majors, Fitzgerald, Ryan Drews, RoyyalT, and Ashley Nicole that delivers an emotionally charged story of passion, sensuality, heartache, and breakup that R&B fans can identify with.

Fitzgerald performs the lead single on “Overdose”. His distinct, smooth, and sensual voice conveys a situation where he realizes his fantasies and intimate encounters with another woman is affecting his current relationship.

“Heartbreaker” is performed by Ashley Nicole feat. Chi The Realist, whose soulful voice and unique texture delivers an emotionally charged story of a woman whose selfishness brings about the demise of her relationship, breaking her man’s heart.

“S.I.N.G.L.E.”, by Ryan Drews, was written after a recent break up with his ex-girlfriend. He was at a stage where he just wanted to enjoy the ‘single life’, but his ex-girlfriend continued to question his whereabouts and whom he was spending time with.

This album is an opportunity to showcase Strych9’s abilities as a music producer working on a full-scale project and gives exposure to artists he’s built relationships with over the years. Strych9 is a music creator, producer and owner of Magnum O.P.U.S. based in St. Louis, MO. He is the founder of “We Create Music”, a growing social community of music creators that believes in collaborating and empowering other music innovators and entrepreneurs.
