Originally from Miami, FL, Faithlyne Desir, soon to be known as Exqwizite, was born on September 22, 1995. Throughout the years, it became evident that Exqwizite had a remarkable aptitude for music. She wrote her first jingle at the age of six and appeared in her first musical performance in the first grade with the children’s choir at the local community center. Initially, Exqwizite began in the choir, but soon branched out to theatre and creative writing. She went on to receive many awards throughout her curricular and extracurricular career. As a high school member of the National Honor Society, Exqwizite proved to be more than beauty and talent; she also possessed a mind capable of achieving what would be unimaginable to some. She would soon find herself on the cusp of making this music dream into reality. Where many would break, she did not fold and proved to be a force to reckon with.

Dkay executes an effective introduction to theLeftside with visuals for “Dáme”

[Vancouver,BC]: At only 23, Vancouver-based musician/creative Dkay has proven himself to be the most promising and formidable force that is currently coming out of the West Coast. Following the audio premiere on Shade 45, “Dáme” is the first visual release from the artists’ forthcoming EP, Rudeboy which is set to be released this coming summer. With a provoking Spanish translation of “give it to me,” and a noticeably charismatic hook.

The Brandon Ng-directed video follows Dkay’s navigation of advances from a multitude of female interests after using an alluring scent. Paying tribute to his attraction of a largely female fan base, the video similarly depicts the undeniable captivation that Dkay has on audiences. Introducing himself as the leader of the Leftside collective, “Dáme” suggests that this is a movement which shouldn’t go underestimated – and one that is set to redefine Canada’s perception of the West Coast
