This is a song meant to empower the idea that there is no shame in not being a man’s “main girl” but instead celebrate the idea that a man and woman can have fun together, have mad love and respect for one another and there be no “strings” attached. It’s meant to take the stigma away from the slang of a woman being a man’s “side piece” and instead flip it like, “Yeah, I’m his side piece and I love it!”
